July Update
A website launch, the quilt visits Oklahoma, and more!
Big news! The Euphoria Quilt’s official website is now live! You can find it here (I recommend checking it out on your computer over your phone, it’s much more fun that way). One of my favorite features of the website is this form, where you can request that the Euphoria Quilt visit your city on our quilting bee tour. You can also read more about our intentions and goals, view our tour schedule, and buy merch like Gender Expansive Quilt Blocks posters or queer quilt block stickers to support the project. Eventually the website will also house the Euphoria Quilt Archive, where you will be able to browse all 165 blocks that appear in the quilt in their individual glory, and read the stories that were submitted with them. We are still working on building out the archive, but hope to have it live in a few months. You will be the first to hear when it is ready!
The Euphoria Quilt quilting bee tour is officially underway! A couple of weekends ago I visited Tulsa and Oklahoma City and held two quilting bees there. Stories and skills were shared, quilt blocks were admired, and it was such a joy to stitch in community. Between the two days, 18 people added their own stitches or ties to the quilt, about ten people learned to tie, and five people learned to hand quilt for the very first time. Below are some photos from the Oklahoma City bee.

This Thursday I am headed back on the road with the quilt, this time to Utah. There will be Euphoria Quilt quilting bees in Salt Lake City on Friday 8/2 from 5:30-7:30pm at Umbrella Cafe (located in Under the Umbrella Bookstore), and in Provo on Saturday 8/3 from 1-4pm at Harmony. If you’re reading this from Utah, I hope to see you there!
That’s all for now! Thanks for following along.
With love,
Eliot
